.jump-a-bout.

I just found this draft post with these 2 photos uploaded and no text. The photos made me smile so I thought I better finish the post... although I'm not sure what I was going to write! haha! It looks like these picture are from the first time we put Nyah in her exersaucer. Wow! She was so little! She's not even really sitting up properly yet! Although from the smile on her face she doesn't seem to mind! I'm glad I found this unfinished entry as the pictures made my heart melt and its always fun to look back and remember how things used to be and how quickly she has grown up!

(Its funny... I forgot just how bald she was! I'm so used to seeing her messy, curly blond hair now!)

.friends forever.

As if the summer wasn't already so fun, Kym and John came to visit!!! Kym and I have been friends for almost 20 years! Wow! I have never really figured that out till just now... 20 years!! I love this girl! I miss her like crazy all the time when she's at home in San Diego and when she comes to visit it feels just like old times minus the straight leg jeans, crop tops, old English 40s and gangster rap. I get emotional every time she has to leave because really she is family and I wish she could be a part of my daughters life everyday. I love you girl and I'm counting the days till November!

.summer love.

This has been an amazing summer so far! The weather has been absolutely beautiful! I think we are currently on day 29 of no rain! Amazing! The days have been filled with time spent at the beach, playing with friends, trips to all the local parks and even some grown up time without baby! Here are some photos taking from my phone over the last 2 months of summer.

.pure.bliss.

I should have known that no amount of coaxing, bribery or Chinese torture (kidding) would make her say the one word I have been so eagerly waiting to hear. Like with all things, Nyah does things at her own pace once she is really confident she will do it well and this was going to be no different!

On Friday, the wait was finally over! While getting ready to do the dishes, she stood at my feet and looked right up at me with those big beautiful baby blues and said Mama. I almost couldn't believe it! My eyes immediately filled with tears of pure joy and I picked her up and showered her in kisses. Once I had her in my arms, she just kept looking at me and repeating herself... Mama! Mama! Mama! My heart melted!!! It was one of the best feelings in the world.

I happened to have my phone on the kitchen counter and was able to catch a brief second of this amazing moment. The videos picture is terrible but the sound is so sweet!
